The most effective ways to fight a sinus headache

Anyone who has been through a sinus headache at least once knows that it is extremely annoying. Usually, it is strongest just after waking up and whenever we try to bend our heads. There are different types of sinus headaches, each of them equally unpleasant and strong.

Where it comes from?

A sinus headache is obviously related to sinus congestion. There is a secretion in them which does not flow to the nose. So it starts to accumulate. It can do this around the forehead, eyes or cheeks. We can also feel piercing pain in these places.

Symptoms

Depending on the location of the clogged sinuses, we can distinguish different types of pain. The most common one – in the forehead area – is a pressure sore that intensifies especially when bending over. The face hurts, on the other hand, when the sinuses are clogged in the jaw area. The last type, is associated with wedge sinus problems. It radiates from the back of the head to the cheek. What’s more, the unpleasant feeling will intensify when we want to clean our nose. That is why you should do it quite carefully.
